||Our Lady of Guadalupe tapestry features the image that is inspired from the celebrated pictorial image housed in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in México City. The basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe is the most visited Catholic site in the world, and the third-most visited sacred site in the world. Also called Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Virgin of Guadalupe. Official Catholic accounts state that on December 9, 1531, Mary appeared on a hill just outside Mexico City in Mexico to Juan Diego. She asked that a church be built there.
