Les Vaisseaux is a French woven jacquard tapestry panel. The artwork is an extract from the famous Bayeux Tapestry. A remarkable embroidery of the late 11th century that is now exhibited at Bayeux, Normandy. Over 220 ft long it depicts the events leading up to the Battle of Hastings in 1066 when Duke William of Normandy was victorious over King Harold of Saxon England.
